Vice President Cultivation

Dr. Amer S Cheema is an award-winning hydroponics specialist and highly motivated professional with a PhD in Plant Physiology & Biochemistry from University of Guelph, Canada. He also received his MSc. (Hons.) Agriculture with specialization of “nutrients management in soil & hydroponics culture” and International Advanced Diploma in Computer Science & Human Resource Management. Over 25 years multidimensional successful experience and leadership background in cannabis cultivation, growing vegetables in high-tech greenhouses, university teaching and research.

Currently, Dr. Cheema is working as Vice President Cultivation with MPX International Corporation to develop and manage facilities for cannabis cultivation locally and internationally. Dr. Cheema’s experience includes being Director of Cultivation at FIGR Inc., a subsidiary of Pyxus International and Head Grower at The Green Organic Dutchman for cannabis cultivation. Prior to this Dr. Cheema was working on key positions in the top management for growing vegetable crops in high-tech hydroponics culture greenhouses in Canada. He brings diverse experience as a cannabis cultivation specialist, hydroponics culture specialist, project management leader, team builder, research/teacher and scientist. He has developed a unique “2-step direct flowering cultivation method coupled with other scientific techniques” which provides a methodology to increase the yield of cannabis 100% compared to the industry average high, while maintaining high cannabinoid content.

Dr. Amer s Cheema is the only PhD degree holder globally in the area of Phospholipase-D inhibition technologies in greenhouse crops.
